While_you_were_Sleeping began in 2003 as a showcase for local electronic music producers, and has hosted both local and international acts (including Sutekh, Monolake and Biosphere). While_you_were_Sleeping’s core role is to showcase the best audio and visual art that Wellington has to offer.
